To safeguard the SARS systems from unauthorised intrusion and to maintain the integrity of information held by it, SARS will be implementing security changes in the background to the eFiling system on 07th May 2022.
Taxpayers and tax practitioners are to ensure that efiling profiles which they are authorised to have access to, contain valid contact details – via email and cellphone numbers which will in the near future receive authentication messages.
Failure to confirm and/or update contact details may not only prevent access to the profile by the rightful user but can also place the eFiling profile at risk to unauthorised access.
