Online vs In-person Tax Training
If you are looking for the most convenient and cost-effective way to kickstart your career in tax or accumulate continuing professional education (CPE) credits, online tax courses may be the thing for you. Digital education proved its mettle as a delivery method for education during the pandemic and became an important part of how we learn new skills, but can it hold the candle to the immersive experience of face-to-face learning?
In-Person Tax Training
Many people prefer in-person training because it is easier to keep up with the pace of the course when every participant learns at the same time. The shared goals of the student cohort, as well as the class structure also add a dimension of group motivation and collaboration. You can also get real-time help from facilitators when you struggle with something or learn from questions that other students ask or the mistakes they make. Another benefit of face-to-face classrooms is the invaluable connections that can be made with professional peers.
On the other hand, very few people can afford the absence from their work or their personal responsibilities that are required to attend classes in person. That includes shuttling to and from classes in traffic, rigid class schedules, and few opportunities to break down learning sessions. And what if you cannot build rapport with your classmates or the facilitator after putting in all this effort?
Online Tax Training
At the Tax Faculty, we looked at the factors that make classroom education great and combined them with the convenience of online training. For example, we follow a structure that incorporates reasoning, questioning and investigating, describing and exploring different viewpoints. In this way, we provide the collaborative advantage of in-person classes but avoid group thinking in favor of developing critical thinking skills.
Our online classes allow working professionals and aspiring tax professionals to get accredited tax education that is recognized by statutory bodies at a time that suits them best. You are also assured of a learning experience that makes a lasting impact due to its collaborative and engaging nature. Sign up for our CPD packages or online courses to experience this firsthand.
