Karen Miller
Karen Miller is a tax practice consultant with over 20 years of experience in corporate tax across South Africa, Australia, and the UK. She has held senior leadership roles in transfer pricing at SARS, EY, and Deloitte, and is internationally recognised for her expertise.
Karen specialises in corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax advisory, with a strong focus on transfer pricing controversy, dispute resolution, and compliance across African tax authorities. She advises clients on transfer pricing policies, intellectual property valuation, and compliance documentation in line with OECD guidelines.
Her career includes leading the Transfer Pricing Practice at SARS until 2010, serving as Transfer Pricing Leader for EY in Sub-Saharan Africa until 2014, and holding a leadership role at Deloitte. She also represented South Africa as a delegate to the OECD Working Party 6 from 2007 to 2010.
Karen has been recognised multiple times by the Women in Tax Leaders Guide and the International Tax Review for her contribution to the tax profession. She is an active member of South African professional tax bodies, regularly presents at industry conferences and seminars, and has authored numerous articles on transfer pricing and tax compliance.
