Ayanda Takela

I believe in the power of education and its ability to transform society. I also recognize that information technology drives progress in all aspects of life. My passion for my country and my work gives me great satisfaction, knowing that I contribute to a team that makes a real difference.

My journey with SARS began in 2007 as a temporary Collections Agent. Over time, I advanced to the role of Regional Support Consultant, accumulating 10 years of industry experience with SARS eFiling and e@syFile applications.

Through engagements with accounting controlling bodies such as the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), I have developed a deep understanding of the critical role these organizations play in enabling taxpayer compliance. As a SARS Support Consultant, I provided technical troubleshooting for eFiling and e@syFile, ensuring that practitioners, business owners, and taxpayers could submit their returns on time and remain compliant.

Currently, I serve as the National Consultant Manager at Interfront, a SARS subsidiary. In my role as Support Manager, I act as the liaison between the market, SARS, and the consultants I oversee. My responsibilities include:

• Providing support for eFiling and e@syFile navigation and enhancements.
• Conducting training sessions and hosting SAIPA webinars.
• Participating in SAICA webcasts and TechTalk events.
• Leading a specialized support team that collaborates with SARS branches and divisions nationwide.
• Engaging with SARS Head Office to address technical issues impacting users and contributing to solution enhancements that optimize the user experience.
