Taxation and Learning Specialist | SARS Research and Design
Cecile Diedricks is an experienced taxation and training professional with over 22 years of service at the South African Revenue Service (SARS). Currently part of the SARS Research and Design Team, she plays a key role in developing and facilitating national training initiatives, with a strong focus on payroll taxes, eFiling, and system modernisation.
Cecile holds multiple qualifications in taxation from the University of Johannesburg (RAU), including a Higher Diploma, an Advanced Certificate, and a Certificate in Taxation. She also holds certifications in Education, Training and Development Practice, Assessor Training, Instructional Design, and Outcomes-Based Assessment Moderation and Design.
Over the years, Cecile has gained extensive technical expertise in PAYE (including e@syFile, EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5/IT3(a)), Personal Income Tax, and Provisional Tax. She is proficient in interpreting complex tax documents such as ITA34 and EMPSA, and calculating S89(2) and S89quat interest. Her in-depth knowledge of SARS systems and processes positions her as a subject matter expert in both technical content and instructional strategy.
Known for her strong facilitation skills and project management capabilities, Cecile has contributed significantly to SARS' national training programmes and organisational modernisation. She has also led the development of high-impact training materials and trained internal facilitators to support the roll-out across the country.
