Hanri van der Merwe
CA (SA)
Hanri is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and has a Masters degree in Taxation. Her Master's dissertation was on the importance of ICT skills for taxation students after qualification.
She worked at Ernst & Young for three years after which she joined the academic environment as a lecturer at Forbes Lever Baker for two years teaching on both business and individual taxation. She then joined the Taxation Department at UNISA as a senior lecturer for three years. Thereafter, Hanri moved over to the Department of Financial Accounting at UNISA for another two years before she joined The Tax Faculty in 2021. During Hanri’s last two years at UNISA, she lectured and served as a marker on Selected Accounting Standards, Simple Group Structures, and various short courses.
