Is it possible to sell a trust to non-connected parties and can 2 trusts be merged?
It all depends on what clauses in the trust deed contain. In a so-called 'business trust' there are clauses allowing for a cession of rights of beneficiaries and allowing for trusts to be merged. In the absence of these clauses, it cannot be done.
