Do you know if it is possible to ask for extension to submit the EMP501 reconciliations? Is there a contact person or email whereby we can lodge an extension request?

Answer:
SARS does not have a process of extensions for EMP501 reconciliations.
However, they have confirmed that they only started the admin penalty process on outstanding EMP501 at the end of June.
Therefore, I suggest that you submit your EMP501 reconciliation on or before the end of June 2020.
