September is an important milestone in the annual payroll tax legislation amendment cycle. The changes proposed by the Tax Amendment bills that will impact payroll offices and payroll systems will be explained in this webinar.

Webinar Content

  • ‘Two-pot' retirement system

The amendment bill that makes significant changes from last year to this important new requirement to enable pre-retirement access to a portion of one's retirement assets, while preserving the remainder for retirement has been published, and will be explained in the webinar.

  • 2023 Mid-Year Interim Tax Certificate submissions

The requirements for this year's Interim Tax Certificate submissions will be explained.

  • SARS Vision 2024 PAYE Reform

Significant progress has been made regarding the submission of employee tax certificates on a monthly basis. You will be updated on the status of these new requirements which will have a huge impact on every payroll system and every payroll office in the country.

Other important payroll tax matters will be included in the webinar depending on progress. On the labour law front, I hope we will have certainty on the implementation dates of the important Amendment Bills for the Compensation Fund and Employment Equity.

The webinar will bring you up to date, help you with these proposed changes, and look ahead as best we can in uncertain times.
