Public Benefit Organizations (PBOs) are created with philanthropic intention and tax compliance is not necessarily top of agenda.
Limited resources may constrain tax compliance which can pose a real risk to the very existence of a PBO. A common misconception is that once tax exempt, a PBO is exempt from all other taxes as well. Unfortunately, this may not be true.
This workshop will provide delegates with a high-level introduction to the legal landscape, and an understanding of the tax risks and responsibilities of PBOs. The workshop will also illustrate through case studies to address practical and operational challenges.
BDO’s Subject Matter Experts will be available to answer your questions and provide guidance.
