The purpose of this professional certificate is to develop the critical research problem solving and writing skills to draft TAA compliant tax opinions that will mitigate SARS penalty risk. The course will also equip participants to effectively respond to SARS letter of audit findings prepare technical sound SARS objections and appeals.
The professional certificate begins with a specific valueadded tax VAT online diagnostic to determine any gaps in course participants knowledge resulting in the common pitfalls identified by SARS. A tailored elearning journey will be delivered to address the gaps whilst focussing on simulated reallife scenarios and the VAT 201 form.
The knowledge and practical skills gained in this programme will provide course participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to perform SARS tax compliance functions and services including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
The skills gained in the qualification will provide participants with the advanced skill to practice as a tax consultant and advisor. Successful course participants will be eligible for membership of the South African Institute of Tax Professionals and the designation Tax Advisor SA and receive a professional occupational qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework NQF 8.
