Gasant Jacobs, a seasoned international tax practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience, is the Managing Partner of TAXTech Global, a Specialist International Tax Practice based in Dubai. The firm specialise in assisting South African taxpayers who live and work abroad with their SARS obligations as well as keeping them compliant in the jurisdictions where they live.
Gasant manages both the South African Operations as well as the International operations and oversee a workforce with extensive expertise in expatriate taxation, cross-border tax planning, international mobility, and global wealth structuring. He advises high-net-worth individuals, expatriates, multinational businesses, and professional firms on the tax implications of international relocation, offshore investments, and cross-jurisdictional compliance.
Gasant Jacobs, a registered Accountant in South Africa and the UAE, is a member of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT), the Tax Faculty of South Africa, and the Institute of Accounting and Commerce (IAC). His academic background includes 2 degrees UCT (Cape Town), an MBA (Finance) from GIBS, a B.Com Masters Degree (International Tax) from TUKS (Pretoria) and Advanced International Tax Diplomas from Leiden (Netherlands).
With a deep understanding of South African tax residency rules, double taxation agreements, expatriate tax exemptions, and international tax developments, Gasant regularly assists clients navigating the complexities of living and working across multiple jurisdictions.
