SUMMARY:AI Master Class: Provisional Tax - Automating Workflows
DESCRIPTION:The masterclass demonstrated how to build AI-assisted workflows\, using a four-step provisional tax workflow as a live example. Recent cases involving fabricated AI citations\, and regulator guidance confirming practitioner responsibility for AI output\, framed the need to build review and controls into each workflow. Practitioners learnt the differences between prompts\, skills and CLAUDE.md files\, and between cloud\, desktop and IDE-based AI. The session addressed risk identification at each step\, embedded controls such as approval gates\, locked formulas and evidence records\, and POPIA obligations. A take-home workflow pack and installation guidance were provided.
